How Dragonfly started

Dragonfly wasn’t built because we wanted to launch a tech company

It started from a problem that kept showing up in our own gyms — doors that didn’t unlock when they should, systems that didn’t communicate with each other, and staff constantly stepping away from members just to fix access issues

We tried the usual options.

Some were overbuilt. Some felt designed for office buildings instead of fitness spaces. None of them really fit how a busy gym actually runs.

So we started building something for ourselves — a simpler way to manage entry without adding more complexity behind the scenes.

What began as an internal fix turned into something we relied on every day.
As we kept refining it inside our own locations, it became clear that other gym owners were running into the same challenges.

Dragonfly grew out of real use, real feedback, and real environments — not a whiteboard or a pitch deck

And it still evolves the same way: by being used inside working gyms every single day

Built From Real Frustration

Traditional access systems are overcomplicated, fragile, and frustrating. We didn’t accept that as “just part of the business.”

So we built something better.

Not theoretical. Not beta.

Every update and feature is informed by real-world use in live gym environments. We don’t ship features we wouldn’t use ourselves.
